Our autumn seminar took place on Monday 30 October in Birmingham. The title was Government 'Action against Hate' Crime Initiative: society and the organisational impact.
We had two excellent speakers:
- Paul Giannasi, Head of the Cross Government Hate Crime programme, was our keynote speaker and gave us a detailed overview of the background of how hate crime has been tackled in the UK up to the present day, including some fascinating international comparisons
- Cara Donald, Women's Justice Worker from Black Country Women's Aid, gave a presentation on 'Domestic abuse - hate crime in the home?'
