The Institute of Equality and Diversity Practitioners is the UK’s professional body of equality, diversity and human rights practitioners. The Institute promotes excellence in equality, diversity and human rights professional practice. The Institute is an independent, not-for-profit body that is run by practitioners for practitioners. The Institute promotes excellence in professional practice across the equality, diversity and human rights sector. Through learning and accreditation programmes, the Institute is developing national practice and professional standards for our sector. The Institute aims to be the organisation of choice for practitioners. We support our members to develop and maintain excellent professional practice. Practitioners include full time specialist professionals, managers with an equalities portfolio that is part of their main tasks, and unpaid volunteers who advise public, private and third sector businesses on delivering equality outcomes
